Austin RoadKill

This is a completely unofficial home page for a sociable group of road cyclists in Austin, Texas.

What we do: we ride bicycles in a group ride almost every Sunday morning year 'round. We have a no-drop policy with five rendezvous points where the faster riders either turn back to ride along with the stragglers or socialize. Average riding speeds range from 14 - 18 miles per hour.

Who we are: Austin RoadKill is an eclectic group of men and women with a broad range of ages, backgrounds, and cycling skill level. The actual riding group size may be as small as one or two on a cold, rainy winter day to 20 or so on a warm day in the spring when the bluebonnets are in full force.

Where and when we ride: Sunday mornings at 7:30 AM from the parking lot at the Buda town library. Our route takes us about 17 miles south to San Marcos.  After some thrashing around in the water on warmer days, we saddle up and re-trace our route.

For more information: Just show up and identify yourself as a new rider.  Arrive early so you can be ready to ride by 7:30!
